And not an NBC show in the line up. Go figure. This post contains spoilers. If you haven’t watched the shows yet, proceed with caution…
Survivor
I still love that show. It’s a great lesson in behavior–and sometimes it can surprise you.
If you don’t watch Survivor, this probably won’t make much sense to you. You may skip to the next section. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
Last night surprised me. Cirie made a powerplay. Who’d a thunk it? Little ol’ Cirie actively played the game. Now don’t get me wrong, I like Cirie. It’s just that in her original season, she hung behind and played a quiet game. She didn’t make power plays until the end. Up until yesterday, Cirie was the swing vote, which was a very powerful spot. But, she initiated the plan to get rid of Yau Man. It was a smart plan, I think. Yau is the strongest player in the fact that EVERYONE loves him. If he’s in the final two, he’s the winner. Period. And he’s one of the smartest players I’ve ever watched. But, this season, he made a crucial mistake; and that was aligning with Jonathon-the-tool. It doesn’t matter how much sense Jonathon makes, he’s a big dick about it and it rubs people the wrong way. He shot himself in the foot at tribal council last night. If he would’ve kept his big trap shut, they would’ve voted out Parvati. But he didn’t…and it convinced the “split voters” to side with Cirie. what a tool. He’s blaming Cirie, but he needs to take a big look in the mirror.
Lost
Awesome show last night. I’ve really enjoyed this season with the flashes forward. I had a feeling that Kate’s baby was Aaron. I am still all about the passion between Kate and Sawyer. They are both so vulnerable and so hell-bent to keep a wall up.
And what was up with Jack’s testimony? That has just opened up so many more questions.
And Ben’s story keeps getting better and better.
Is anyone else wondering where Michael and Walt are? Hello!! That plot line really needs to be tied up.
Lipstick Jungle
I’m losing interest. I really liked the Nico and boy-toy story line until last night. I hate where they are taking it. And frankly, I didn’t believe for a second she would’ve called the photographer. She knew exactly what would happen to Kirby when she made that call. I just didn’t buy her character would do that–even in such a panicked state.
I’m over Andrew McCarthy. He’s dreamy at times, and at others, I just want Victory to nut him. Their story line was a good one yesterday, though. I like how she really resents him using his money to be perfect…which makes him very much less than perfect.
Surprisingly, my fave storyline last night was the Brooke Shields character. For the first time since this show started, I found her to be believable and 3 dimensional. I may keep watching to see how they grow her character. They better fix the “Nic and boy-toy” story line soon though.
Make Me a Super Model
Since I can’t stand Tyra Banks, I can’t watch America’s Top Model. This is a fun substitute. I’m afraid my little Nashville hunk is gone after tonight though. Poor Ben. He’s so hot, but he’s just NOT quite there. He needs a little training. Frankly, I hope Jackie gets the boot. She’s beautiful, but something about her bugs me. Not sure what it is though. Perry is sexy and cocky and I’ll be surprised if he goes. They put him in the bottom three to show him a little humility.
Okay, that’s my wrap up. I Tivo’d Eli Stone which I’ll watch sometime today while I’m cleaning. What are y’all watching that you just won’t miss?
In writing news: I finished a rough draft of a synopsis for my new proposal yesterday. I’m pretty excited about that.
In fam news: Ian went to watch his girlfriend play basketball last night. Aww. So cute. π
Peace y’all. Have a great weekend.
