Mondays are hard for me…but a Monday like today is especially hard.
The sun is out and the air is a crisp 54 degrees.
My patio was calling my name as I left the house this morning. It was begging me to stay and sit outside with a cup of coffee and my laptop.
I resisted. Somehow, I resisted.
It’s never easy going back to the bump and grind of the office, especially coming off a successful writing weekend. I’ve written thirty pages since last Thursday and I hate that I’m back at work, interrupting the mojo of this proposal.
This is something radically different for me. I’m working on two things at once, something I wasn’t sure I could manage. But I am. The proposal is a new genre for me (and I’m not going to talk about it too much, cuz I don’t want to jinx the mojo) and then my regular Southern Fiction story, which I’m really hoping to have completed by Jan. 1.
Okay folks…how was your weekend? Get any writing done? Favorite team win? (Woo Pig Sooie!) Have anything super special happen that you wanna share?

30 pages is FANTASTIC, Mel!!!! 🙂

Congrats on 30 pages!
The Huskies won against UCLA so that was a nice treat.
A bit of writer thoughts as I grabbed a few more items for Ireland.
Toes crossed that your fingers fly quickly on this new one.

I agree, 30 pages rocks. I’m jealous. I wrote about 10. Bleh.
Over all it was a good weekend. I am now officially running for Vice President of my chapter, so that’s cool.
And then there’s that little book promo I made for my friend this weekend. That was fun.

Congratulations on the 30 pages!
I didn’t write a single new page because I wasted my time writing the Avon Fan lit thang-why? I’m not sure because there is some weird stuff going down with that contest…
I must start back on Peter’s story cos I am dying to know what happens next.
Weekend blah

Katy (Texas) Tigers won this weekend. Now they’re ranked #4 in Texas Class 5A High School Football and headed to district play where they could come out undefeated. Texas State Champions in 1959, 1997, 2000 and 2003, they played in the state championship game last year, but lost (sob!) I’ll be home on Nov. 17 for the playoff run.
Writing? What’s that? No writing done for a long, long time.

I saw some movies on the weekend. I know… after seeing 41 in the first 10 days of Sept, I really needed to see more 🙂
