a few more pics…

As the lads would say, I’m shattered.

But, Atlanta was fun and having some good face time with my fellow writing buddies was fab.

I’ll post a few pics here that were sent to me and I have a few more on my camera, but the battery is recharging.

dinner Friday night: Left to Right
Adrian, Mel, Nic, Maria, Gina, Kate, Louisa, Jenna

Mel: ENOUGH with the camera, already.

Mel: Fine, take my picture. Look, I’ll even smile.

Naughty Kate, Louisa, Mel

I love my pals and miss them already!

just a tease…

When I’m fully recovered, I’ll go back and name all the folks in the pictures I posted and I’ll also give a brief (or not-so-brief) run down of my experience in Atlanta.

Suffice it to say, a GRAND time was had by all. It was the best hotel, with the best service. The rooms were ultra nice even if the parking and the food/bev. prices were outrageous. ($7 for ONE beer…)But still, I absolutely would not argue if National decided to hold every conference in this hotel.

I arrived in Memphis a little after noon today. The fam picked me up and we picked up 3 of the challenge soccer coaches (Grant, Emma, and Captain) and went to Hooters for lunch. Yes–I said Hooters. Our waitress made stupid look smart. She was just this side of barely breathing. It was the perfect way to come home. Even if it was Hooters. I missed my family and my extended family. I love those guys–all of them. (Don’t worry Grant and Simon, y’all are still my faves.) It’s good to have a little UK fix every now and then. Even if your dumb as dirt waitress has to remind herself to breathe.

It’s good to be home.

pictures!

I don’t have a lot of time and I can’t identify everyone in the pics right now, but I’m gonna go ahead and post them.

This is from the RWA Online Party last night. We had a blast! It was great putting faces to names–even tho some people didn’t look at all like they were supposed to!

quick update

I just used the lotion from my hotel room.

Yes, my skin is baby’s bottom soft–but now I smell like my great-grandma.

BTW–I met Jude who put together the Blogging National blog. She was lovely and took a picture of me, Maria, and Kate. Look for it!
