Shhh. Don’t tell Mr. Mel

Honey, if you’re reading my blog–stop now.

I ordered more books from our Cybersignings program yesterday. It’s an addiction, I know. But it’s for a good cause…really.

  1. I’m supporting my chaptermates.
  2. I’m supporting my chapter.
  3. I’m supporting my severe book addiction
  4. I’m hoping that if my books continue to pile up in my bedroom floor, I’ll eventually get that floor to ceiling bookshelf I’ve been wanting. Hell, I’ll even paint them.
  5. I’m supporting fellow writers, and I am a firm believer in what comes around, goes around.

So, this time, I bought these books:

Lori Avocato’s ONE DEAD OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST
Claire Delacroix’s THE SNOW WHITE BRIDE
Yolanda Greggs’ SWEETEST TABOO
Wayne Jordan’s SLOW MOTION
Ann Macela’s THE OLDEST KIND OF MAGIC

There are about 5 books left on the current Cybersignings list that I haven’t purchased yet. Soon. Very soon.

Authors’ websites:
Lori Avocato

Claire Delacroix
Yolanda Greggs
Wayne Jordan
Ann Macela

  1. Mel! I bought 4 of the same cyber-signed books on your list! I plan to read Slow Motion next.

My dh DID find out. DH: “Is it OUR job to support the authors?”

Me: “Yes. It most definitely is.” I smiled. šŸ™‚ Conversation over.

I have a serious addiction as well. And, like you, mine pile up on the bedroom floor. Maybe we can by bookshelves via quantity discount–anyone else suffer the same addiction and lack of shelves? šŸ™‚

  2. Oh I want in on the “in bulk” shelf buying. I’ll need two please. One for the “to be read” stack and one for the “already read” stack.

    Thank you. ;o)

  3. Floor to ceiling bookshelf… Oh that sounds so nice. Maybe someday I’ll have me one of them real jobby jobs and be able to buy books again. *sigh*

Then, watch out! I’ll be requesting TBR lists from everyone I know.

Well, I still buy books, but that’s to feed my son’s current fantasy novel addiction. I am SO proud.

I’m like you. I’ve been reading quite a few of my chapter colleagues’ book…

Fortunately, it’s not a total expense, because of my website, Romance in Color, and referral free, which I take as a gift certificate, I generally have a bit left over to buy books I want. The majority got to purchase books for reviewers since, I prefer not to let them keep galleys..

Of course, I’ll still try to buy from Author Author when I can, but saving for RWA Nationals next years will be another killer and I have to start early.
