When I’m fully recovered, I’ll go back and name all the folks in the pictures I posted and I’ll also give a brief (or not-so-brief) run down of my experience in Atlanta.
Suffice it to say, a GRAND time was had by all. It was the best hotel, with the best service. The rooms were ultra nice even if the parking and the food/bev. prices were outrageous. ($7 for ONE beer…)But still, I absolutely would not argue if National decided to hold every conference in this hotel.
I arrived in Memphis a little after noon today. The fam picked me up and we picked up 3 of the challenge soccer coaches (Grant, Emma, and Captain) and went to Hooters for lunch. Yes–I said Hooters. Our waitress made stupid look smart. She was just this side of barely breathing. It was the perfect way to come home. Even if it was Hooters. I missed my family and my extended family. I love those guys–all of them. (Don’t worry Grant and Simon, y’all are still my faves.) It’s good to have a little UK fix every now and then. Even if your dumb as dirt waitress has to remind herself to breathe.
It’s good to be home.

Miss you already, Mel darlin’. It was so grand to see you!
