Wow. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. (other than someone doing the cooking for me… but then, if that had happened, would it have been as good? I think not.) We had 20 people at our house. 20! And it was a lovely day.
4 of the 20 were vegetarians, so I fixed some vegetable soup and some stuffed butternut squash. (which was, by far, my fave thing on the menu.)
We also had some vegetarian stuffing (made by my momma and it was YUMMY) and some vegetable soup, salad, and rice.
Not to mention the usuals.
Kagan and his lovely wife brought 2 million pies. Okay, so really it was only 6 but seriously, it coulda been 2 million. Here’s what’s left over.

Sounds like you had a lovely day! You are so nice to accomodate those veggies. My husband is one and I ignore him. He goes hungry but I don’t care. I’m evil that way.

I spent the day in bed alone after throwing up all night-while my loving family went off to Belvedere for a lovely feast…

I do like to accommodate the vegetarians. I was *almost vegetarian* for about 5 years. (never could completely give up beef…but it was a bacon sandwich that brought me back into the world of meat eaters)
Oh Kate…I’m so sorry my darling. I hope you’re better today.
((hugs))

The butternut squash was stuffed with the squash meat, wild rice and long-grain rice, seasonings, wheatbread and a touch of oj. 🙂
