One of those weeks

well, it has been one of those weeks. I woke up happy and in a good place every day, and by the end of the day, I was drained of all things good.

Happiness comes from within…right? So I took today off to get happy again. I’m going to walk 500 a few miles and then have lunch with my girls. And all will be right in the world. Maybe El Jefe and I can catch a movie this afternoon.

Storms are headed this way today, and I’m looking forward to them. I love nature’s hissy fits! Even the scary ones are fun. Weather patterns have always fascinated me. I probably should have been a storm chaser. Or maybe just a weather girl…

have a great weekend, bitches! And don’t let the mean girls get you down! Life is too short to worry about what other people think of you.

  2. Just be yourself, Mel. You’re a fun loving girl, and some bitches hate people like that because they’re absolutely miserable ALL THE TIME! I would know, I was one of them a few years ago.

    • Thank you, Charity! I really am a fun loving and genuinely positive person. I don’t care about “perception” I care about living a genuine life. But weeks like this are hard on me. Not because I can’t handle it, but because I can’t watch the way it affects my friends and co-workers who deserve better. But today has been fantastic! I have the best friends!

  3. Love where you say that storms are “nature’s hissy fits.” We’re having those here, too, and for some reason, there’s something mood-changing about them. Proof that we live, I guess. I hope you have a great afternoon and even better weekend.
