WOO PIG SOOIE!

Tomorrow’s game against Abalama is gonna be EPIC.

Shake your booty! The Razorbackses is up in here
!

My friend Marley Gibson is a huge ‘Bama fan. May the text message taunting begin!!!

If you’re looking for me tomorrow, I’ll be at a bar, screaming obscenities at the big screen and sucking down adult beverages like it’s my job.

Y’all have a great weekend. I know I will.

dangerous curves ahead.

Do you know how strong my will power is?

Here, let me show you it:

My will is SO STRONG that I managed to walk away without buying this Spongebob skully and glove set. I wanted it. Oh, my how I wanted it. But I didn’t succumb to the bright yellow siren call. I walked on by.

Yes. If this were Oh Brother Where Art Thou, I would not be turned into a horny toad because I resisted the lure.

I did manage to do some damage at Forever 21 yesterday though (no age comments from the peanut gallery…I am NOT too old to shop there, so suck it.) New jeans and a gorgeous one shoulder assymetrical sweater that I will wear with my brown pencil skirt at my signing on Sunday. I’m gonna have to wear a Dangerous Curves Ahead warning sign. Eat your heart out Christina Hendricks! (haha! Ok, maybe not quite…but a girl can dream, right?)

Oh and btw, I’ve now decided that when they make a movie about my life, Christina Hendricks will be replacing Jennifer Coolidge (aka Stifler’s Mom) in the starring role. Because DAMN that it is one curvy, hot red head. It’s my dream! Let me live it!

I’ve got a big weekend planned with fun, friends, and football. If you’re lucky, I’ll post pics on Monday. 🙂

Y’all have a great weekend and Woo Pig Sooie! The Razorbackses is up in here…

Shenanigans!

I can’t wait for this weekend. I’ll be playing the role of Ship’s Captain all weekend long (or until I let a boy take over…) The boys and I are headed to Lake Ouachita and meeting friends there for what may be our last lake event of the year.

Birdrunner and her family will be there. My friend Carrie is planning to come. My friend Jenn C. will be there… which means there will be shenanigans galore. If not, then we have failed our task at hand.

Also, Razorback football starts this weekend. We’re hoping to be back at the house by the 6:00 game time to continue the party. Birdrunner suggested we get us some McClard’s BBQ for the game…and I think that sounds like a FINE idea.

In honor of the hogs, I give you my favorite version of the Razorback fight song.

Shake your booty, tutti-fruiti, pop ’em all upside the head! Let’s go for Arkansas! Yes lawd!

10 things I learned at the Liberty Bowl

So the Arkansas Razorbacks played in the Liberty Bowl this weekend and I was one of the 62,000 fools who attended.

It was farking cold.

Here are a list of things I learned from our trip this weekend:

  1. Bud Light with Lime tastes like Kool-Aid.
  2. If you drink a few Bud Light with Limes while traveling to Memphis, you will have to stop to pee 5 times.
  3. There are NOT ENOUGH LAYERS IN THE WORLD to keep you warm when the wind chill is -100.
  4. You will stop partaking in adult beverages after you use the port-o-potty.
  5. If you’re walking to the port-o-potties and every person along the way warns you away from potty #3–you listen.
  6. It’s okay to leave the game early.
  7. Sometimes GPS systems are stupid.
  8. Nothing brings white boys to the dance floor faster than Vanilla Ice.
  9. Guys today think that “dancing” is the same as “leg humping.”
  10. McDonald’s for breakfast tastes really, really, really good after freezing at a football game and being leg humped on Beale Street.

We had a great time. The Hogs won (finally) and it only took me two days to thaw out. Now we have snow here in little Rock…school didn’t start back today. But I still have to go to work. How uncool is that?

brrrrr

I’ll be at the Liberty Bowl today and taking Memphis hostage tonight. It’s gonna be c-c-c-c-c-c-c-cold! The high is only 34 degrees, so Ima gonna be bundling up with lotsa layers and a blanket. I may be a fool for sitting outside watching foozball in dis here weather, but I ain’t stupid.

GO HOGS!

and one last time: Shirley Q Liquor’s Razorback Fight Song

Mel-ancholy

I’m ready for 2010. This has been a tough year for me, the holidays were even tougher, and it’s time for me to bring in a new year with a new attitude. I don’t know how I’m going to do that yet, but give me time and I’ll figure it out.

I do know one thing for sure: Next year, I’m going tropical for Christmas.

How was your holiday? Was Santa good to you?

Santa was very good to my kiddos and they’re happily staying up late, sleeping late and enjoying their time off of school.

(Even though my #2 child has 3 projects he has to have finished by Monday…and he better get with it)

I’m looking forward to Saturday…I’m going to the Liberty Bowl to see the Razorbacks play! YAY! Memphis, you better watch out!!

Saturday list

  1. Go Hogs. Beat Rebs.
  2. Multi-Author Book Signing at the North Little Rock Books-A-Million tonight from 5-8 PM.
  3. Here is a pic of me from last night’s Halloween party. We had a great time and I really embraced my role as Cliché, The Naughty School Girl

a jumble-aya

Monday is my day at Fictionistas. I posted some random tidbits about myself.

This weekend was a good one…mainly b/c the Hogs put the smackdown on the Auburn Tigers! YAY! 2 tough wins in a row and our first conference win against a ranked team!

I did some cleaning, laundry, and…I did some PLOTTING! Yes! I worked with my pal Maria and came up with a decent little story idea. Can’t talk about it right now, but I’m working on the synopsis/proposal.

It felt good to work on something new again.

I discovered that my pal Gwen Hayes got into a Twitter Fight with Scott Baio over the weekend. I’m sad to find out that Chachi is actually a tool. He crushed my childhood crush. Guess it’s a good thing I liked Leif Garret better. (though truthfully, Chachi did age better than Leif…however, I’m over both of them now. LOL)

It’s still rainy and overcast and making me feel like I live in the Pacific Northwest instead of Little Rock, AR. My mood is very much influenced by the weather, so I’m ready for some clear, crisp fall days. I’m tired of feeling tired.

I caught up on some dvr’d shows. I’m really digging Cougar Town and Modern Family. Mad Men is a little disappointing this season, but I’m sticking with it. Drop Dead Diva is my new favorite off-season show (finale was last night) and I’m kinda back into Grey’s Anatomy now that they’ve killed off George. (I actually liked George, but I never could understand how that puppy got so much tail in the show. Really seemed out of character for his character.) I love The Mentalist. Hell’s Kitchen is the best of the worst this season–seriously, I’m not sure how any of the top 3 will manage being a head chef (that said, I really do love Dave). And I thought they kicked off the wrong person in Project Runway last week.

I heart the DVR. Best creation ever.

Anything going on with you guys? Any TV you’re loving/hating/leaving in the dust?
